The Bollinger Incentive

The trip to Bollinger started on a cold morning at Waterloo where the group of winners were all waiting to be shuttled by first class to Paris and then TGV on to Reims. That evening we dined at the Le Boulingrin, with Langoustine and of course a bottle or two of Bolly. The next day we spent in the company of Christian Dennis the most charming French man who conducted our tour and tasting. The Bollinger estate is stunning and symbolises style and class.

The tour saw us visiting the production plant where we were fortunate to see the disgorgement and the warehouse where the casks are stored and the cellars where the magnums are kept cru by cru.

Then the most memorable part of the trip was the lunch with Stephen Leroux the Marketing Director at Madame Jacques Bollinger house.  We all felt so privileged to be in her actual home, tasting Bollinger Special Cuve -what a way to spend a lunch time! We then had a formal four course meal with Bollinger Grande Annee 1999 and Bollinger RD 1996. Our parting gift was a gorgeous set of Riedel glasses in a fabulous presentation box and a bottle of Bolly Special cuvee. It was Absolutely Fabulous darlings ...
